Head Shots for the Program

Hey Cast.
For those of you that weren't there the other night and as a reminder to those that were...pictures will be taken on Saturday from 10-11 in Nan's class room at Sky View.
Please wear dark dressier clothing. The pictures will be against a white background.

Show Shirts

We are going to be ordering show shirts. They will have the same logo as the poster. For a T-shirt it is $8 and a zip-up hoody is $24. The T-shirts come in black, purple, and yellow. The hoody only comes in black. If you are interested in having one please bring your money (checks written to Cache Regional Theatre Compnay) by Tuesday the 20th. We are going to order them on Wednesday the 21st. If they are not paid for they won't be ordered. There will be a sign up sheet at rehearsals.

Recording Sweet Tracks

Hey Cast,

As most of you know we are recording extra voices to enhance the minus. This will help the audience to hear the ensemble especially during a dance number. There are about 5 songs that need to be recorded.

This Saturday (10/17) we will be recording the tracks. It will be from 8-4. It is a long day but it will help so much. We need to know who might be interested and available for this recording. Please email me by Thursday to let me know if you are interested and available. We will then see who can and pick a handful of cast members and let them know to come record. (We won't need everyone)

A Couple of Changes to the Schedule

As always there are a few changes that need to be made to the schedule.

Tuesday 10/13
Music Rehearsal will start at 6:00 instead of 7:00
(Helen wants to start earlier so that it isn't such a late rehearsal)

Thursday 10/15
Muzzy's boys rehearsal is Cancelled. Muquin is still on.
Instead we will do Muzzy's party.

If there are any of you interested in sewing but did not already sign up on my paper let me know (email me) and I will have things for you. I do have more to send out.

I will have the rest of the sewing to hand out on Tuesday. If you are sewing or you have someone sewing it would be a great night to pull people out of singing to take some measurements so they/you are welcome to do so. Thanks again for all you are doing

First Meeting/Rehearsal

Hey Everyone.

This is what you will need for Tuesday. First of all we start at 7:00 at Sky View High School (520 So. 250 E. Smithfield) Come in the single door on the South West end next to the ramp and go straight ahead to the auditorium.

For the rehearsal please dress so that you can dance. Appropriate footwear and clothing will be expected. Also if you have tap shoes please bring them. We have decided to have another dance/tap audition. We want to see more before we cast the tapping secretaries and also the choreographers want to see the general dance ability of the group.

Also we would ask you to print off and bring a copy of the attached song-"Thoroughly Modern Millie." This is the opening # and we are going to start learning it. We would recomend that you get a three ring binder to start collecting your music and other loose papers in. Most will be posted on the blog as needed for ensemble and small group pieces.

We are excited to get started and hope that you are too. See you Tuesday.

AUDITION FORM

Here is the audtion form. Please read it carefully and fill it out completely. Please be completely honest when filling out the form.

Bring the form with you to auditions filled out and with your 4x6 headshot already attached. Please make sure that it is a head shot. (We want to see your face). If you have questions please let us know.

When Printing you may need to adjust your margins to get the file to fit on the page.

Audition Information

Auditions for "THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE" will be held on August 25Th 2009 at the Ellen Eccles Theater.
Auditions will be by appointment only.
-We will begin talking time requests on August 20Th.
-Auditions will times will be every 15 minutes. (example 4:15, 5:45, 6:00)
-You may request an audition time by emailing cacheregionaltheatre@hotmail.com.
-Please state your full name and list your top three audition time preferences.
-We will reply asap with a confirmation of a time.
-Remember that if you are late for your audition time you will have to wait for the first available time.
-Please arrive 10 minutes before your time so that you can check in.
-NO APPOINTMENTS WILL BE MADE UNTIL AUGUST 20Th and none will be made after Noon on AUGUST 25Th. (After that you will have to come and wait for an available opening)

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
-You must be 16 years old at the time of auditions and have a mature look.
-We are auditioning for all roles.

-Come prepared with 16 bars of music from a Broadway show or a Broadway style song
-An accompanist will be provided.
-You may also use a minus track recording.
-NO AC CAPELLA AUDITIONS!!! (We need to see that you can follow an accompaniment)

If you are interested in a tapping role you will also need to do a dance audition.
The only roles requiring a dance audition are for the tap dancing office staff and for the roles of Millie, Dorothy, and Ms. Flannery.
-Dance auditions will be held every half hour starting at 4:00. You will need to come before your singing audition or stay after.

There may be a few cold readings-just a heads up.
CALL BACKS WILL BE HELD THE SAME EVENING AT 8:00. Not all roles will require a call back.

More information/requirements will be on the audition form. Audition forms will be available after August 18Th on the blog so check back.

Rehearsals will rotate on Tuesdays Wednesdays and Thursdays and will take place at Sky View High School. Other rehearsals with small groups may be scheduled one on one with the directors.
